Our Team
Together, we're a team of college- and high-school-aged youth from across the U.S. and around the world, working to make a difference through collaboration, creativity, and a shared vision for a better tomorrow.

Roselyn Bi
Founder
Through coaching refugee youth at a summer soccer camp and tutoring refugee students, I realized an often-overlooked need: support for the social-emotional wellbeing of newly arrived immigrant youth—and that’s how Tulip’s Promise was born. In my free time I enjoy biking, spending time with family and friends, and occasionally performing at local comedy clubs.

Chinonye Chibo
Nigeria Chapter President
I wanted to start a Tulip’s Promise chapter to help spread the mission of belonging and creativity to youth around the world. I feel deeply about helping youth feel seen and connected through art and community. In my free time, I love art, design, and sewing — they’re my favourite ways to express culture and share stories.

Rhea Iyengar
Illinois Chapter President
I wanted to start a chapter after I heard about the mission, and how it turns compassion into a real impact. I want to bring the same energy to my community, where I’m sure a lot of people want to help but don’t always know where to start. In my free time, I enjoy reading and cooking.

Maddie Lee
Alabama Chapter President
As a child of immigrants myself, intersecting culture and language have always been a huge part of my life. I want to make sure other students who may be struggling with learning about American norms and the English language in Alabama feel welcomed through judgement-free education. In my free time, I like to scrapbook and play piano!

Meerub Malik
Program Co-Director
I joined Tulip’s Promise because, as an immigrant with parents who were unfamiliar with the U.S. education system, I had to navigate everything on my own. I want to help make that journey easier for others. With Tulip’s Promise, students can gain a better understanding of the system in a way that feels accessible, empowering them to succeed rather than feel lost or isolated. I’m passionate about sewing, and in my free time, I enjoy reading and baking.

Kristin Ama
Program Co-Director
I joined Tulip's Promise to help foster community, self-expression, and cultural literacy in youth. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and playing volleyball.

Anita Ogbeide
Marketing Director
To me, Tulip’s Promise is about creating a proactive initiative in support of child refugees. I joined because I saw an organization with an interest that deserved to be shared and appreciated. My passion is helping my community like volunteering with Red Cross and Key Club has honed my ability to not only organize and execute campaigns but also to inspire and mobilize others towards a common goal.

Lily Zhang
Design Co-Director
I joined Tulip's Promise because I am passionate about helping others and giving back to the community. Through my service, I hope to contribute to fostering a safe and welcoming community for all youths! In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, making art, and swimming.

Anna Wu
Design Co-Director
The aim of Tulip’s Promise is to help vulnerable youth and foster a community of togetherness and compassion; being a part of this team to help reach that end goal means a lot to me as a student looking to see that change in my own community. In my free time I love to dance, draw, and play with my cat.

Evelyn Park
Communications Director
I am excited to join Tulip's Promise to be able to help refugees and spread kindness! In my free time, I like to play the viola, golf, and crochet.

Layla Abukhdeir
Youth Mentor
I joined Tulip's Promise because I’m passionate about helping immigrant youth! Outside of school, I enjoy running, reading, and hanging out with friends and family!
